The Amazing Food Detective comes to Saint Mark

“The Amazing Food Detective” is coming to Saint Mark on Monday, February 11 in a show for the entire student body. The food detective is on the case investigating clues to healthy eating and physical activity that help young students understand the importance of a healthy diet and exercise. Sponsored by Kaiser Permanente and developed in partnership with health experts, schools, and health organizations, the Amazing Food Detective presents health messages that include the need to: 1) Eat 5 fruits and veggies every day; 2) Eat regular meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner; 3) Be physically active 60 minutes a day; and 4) Spend less than 2 hours a day in front of the TV or computer. The show is being performed at no charge to Saint Mark and features members of the Performing Arts Center of Kapolei, including Saint Mark 8th grader, Isaiah Graham. Kaiser Permanente is excited about this opportunity to influence healthy eating and active living in our schools and at home.
