Lockdown Drill Goes Well

In the continuing effort to assure that Saint Mark is properly prepared should an emergency occur, the school underwent a lockdown drill on Tuesday, February 26. The drill went very well with the entire school being completely locked down in under 5 minutes. The school was kept in lockdown for 15 minutes while teachers worked with their classes to assure the proper procedures were being followed. School faculty and staff will debrief the drill as they work to improve the procedures in the future. In the event of a real lockdown, school families would be alerted through the school’s email alert system (sign-up at www.smls-hawaii.org). Please call the school office at 247-5589 should you have any questions.
